Works very well, but forget the instructions, they’re not helpful. Start with the adjustment you twist at the shortest. Have something (or someone) to hold it up in place, lengthen it to fit, then screw in the self-tapping screw. While it’s level, start twisting the adjustment to lengthen it until it’s tightly in place. Done. It’s great for the clothes I’ve stacked on it.

Took a second to figure out just how it worked, but then it provided strong economical shelving with no tools or damage.

overall wonderful oroduct, holds over 40 pounds of stuff withouth ever giving signs of giving up, it assembles easily and goes up mounted in a minute. A great item that turned my closet into so much more space to use, while keeping my regukar hanging coat pole (also because the one that comes with the shelf is the only part that honestly won't hold more than a leather jacket.BE AWARE, know where you are going to place your shelves, once you put it on and you tighten it up, the screws to hold the width of the shelves will make permanent holes in the material, which after a while if you do that a lot becomes loose, and the edges that press against the two walls will RIP AWAY THE PAINT OFF YOUR WALL (you can look at my picture if you don't believe me). When that happened i wanted to cry, but i couldn't because it's just a shelf, how am i gonna cry for a tension shelf. ugh anyway LOL.I still think in certain parts of the house its a wonderful solution and item, but overall not worth the money, the price needs to go down or the quality of certain material should increase.

After reading many reviews, I decided to give this a go for a closet in our tiny NYC apartment. The instructions are not translated to english well, so you have to really study the pictures and use your common sense. It definitely took two people to set it up: one person to expand and hold it in place/hold it tight and a second person to turn the little screws that set it in place. I was pleasantly surprised by how sturdy it felt after fully expanding and screwing all the thingies into place. I'm not going to test my luck with too much weight, but it is holding up a set of sheets, laundry basket, and toilet paper.

Great product, very east to adjust and install, but it falls off every now and then.Guess it’s great for storage but not every day use.

This was exactly what I needed. The shelf in my apartment closet has been broken since I moved in. The apartment management put up a small board, but it was a useless shelf because nothing could fit on it. I measured the closet and found out I needed a board that was 55inches long and 11-15 inches wide. I could not find a replacement anywhere at any local stores. I decided to check out Amazon and they had this adjustable shelf and it was really affordable.I installed it today and it was really easy. The instructions are clear if you use the pictures. The translation to English is not great so the wording is a little hard to understand, but the picture instructions make sense.It comes with another bar you can attach to hang stuff on, but I don't need that part so I don't have it in the photo.It took me maybe 10 minutes total to get it out of the box, set up, and in the closet. I now have a place for my pet's carrier, and a few things I had lying at the bottom of my closet.

Shelf arrived in a box with no instructions. I tried putting it up anyway; figuring it's a pressure-mounted shelf it can't be too difficult. I was wrong.First thing that happened: I removed it from the box and it fell apart (the side that slips into the main part of the shelf fell out...there was nothing to prevent it from sliding out. It took me about 10 frustrating minutes of attempting to maneuver the poles into their slots...I'd get three in and two would come out; get four in and three would come out, etc....before I finally got it back together.Then I attempted to install the shelf, only to discover that there is no 'pressure' to it at all. Normally with a pressure-mounted item there are springs (or something similar) inside to create that pressure, but with this there's nothing. The only thing I could see was two plastic wheel-like things at one end of the shelf, but they just spin endlessly when you turn them. They don't adjust anything and appear to have no purpose. And the description that says 'Heavy duty and stable'...it's anything but that. The steel rods are very thin and flimsy, and the rest of it is just plastic. The entire thing is terribly designed, obscenely overpriced, and non-functional.I'll be returning this and will purchase a shelf that I can actually put up, somewhere else.

Very happy with this purchase, I am an older woman and I just assembled it, it fits what I needed, which was to have a little more space in the closet, I do not want it to hold large weights and with my arthritic hands I squeezed as much as I could I could, I recommend it!

Pain in the ass to put together. The instructions are poorly translated and make zero sense. Need a 2nd pair of hands to put up, but in a small closet I'm not sure how that would have been possible. I used small nails to help hold the other side up as I secured the other side. Once it is up it is very sturdy and able to hold up 2 suitcases and a large storage bin.

I used it to replace my freezer rack. It works out perfectly. LOL Very happy with it.

I ma using as an added shelf in one of the kitchen cabinets. so not a lot of heavy stuff. I works well for that. I am not sure how much weight this shelf could actually hold. very sturdy though
